We can’t imagine a sweeter spot to ring in the start of another great year around the sun than a stay at this Baja hotel. It’s laid back yet sophisticated, cozy yet bursting with atmosphere. A boutique hotel that sits right along the Pacific coast, Hotel San Cristóbal is the perfect spot to spend a weekend soaking up the Mexico sunshine, enjoying the culture of Todos Santos and sipping on some of the best mezcals around.

Lounge alongside Frida art in the open air lounge as your inner aesthete rejoices with inspiration. Getting excited? Grab your amigos and head south for your next big birthday bash, bachelor(ette) adventure, girls trip or group getaway. This one is as bucket list worthy as it is Instagrammable.

Lounge on the beach with your feet in the sand, by the pool with a margarita in hand or in your stunning hotel room listening to tunes from your favorite band. Hotel San Cristóbal is all about the relaxation. The 32-suite hotel features rooms that are full of character and offer beautiful views of the mountains, beach or poolside. Neutral palettes come alive with colorful bedding and tilework and a mix of cool textures like woods, leathers and woven jute. Treat yourself to an ocean king suite with a soaking tub and you’ll spend your best birthday ever gazing out a glass wall to the open sea.

Fresh Fiesta

Benno, the restaurant at Hotel San Cristóbal, serves traditional Mexican fare for breakfast and dinner and they do it in a way that’s authentic and delicious, relying on the best of local produce. Think freshly baked pan dulce with fresh tropical fruits like papaya, mango and piña for breakfast. Whole grilled fish, pulled fresh from the sea for dinner. Spicy sweet potato flautas. Top it all off with a birthday treat of handmade churros and you’ve got yourself a birthday worth celebrating for more than just a day.

Todos Santos

For those looking for a bit of adventure around town, Todos Santos has a rich history that dates all the way back to 11,000 BC. Set out to learn about the nomadic tribes, farming and fishing communities and the local mission that dates back to the early 18th century. If that doesn’t float your boat, hop on a charter and go swimming with the whale sharks near La Paz or head to magical El Triunfo for an arty good time. However you want to spend your next birthday, it’s sure to be bucket list worthy at this Baja gem.
