If you’re itching to find the perfect Parisian hideaway with a bit of flamboyance, look no further than the aptly named Hotel Panache. This swankily-styled French charmer is oozing with charisma and flair, with its print-heavy décor and clever little details dotted throughout. We love this spot for the bold use of color, pattern and Art Nouveau appeal—oh, and for its ideal location in the heart of Paris’ 9th district, close to shopping, theaters and all the many charms of the City of Lights. We suggest promptly packing your chic little bags and bee-lining it to this classy beauty. Book here starting at $184 per night →

Pattern Play

Housed in a triangular, 19th-century ivory building that reminds us a little of New York’s Flatiron (and was, indeed, inspired by it), Hotel Panache has the look of classic Paris through and through—tall windows, top-floor garrets, mini-balconies and all. Step inside and you’ll find a mix of thoroughly modern and delightfully retro, hearkening back to an earlier time when pattern was queen and everyone believed the more decorative the design, the better. The flashy but utterly welcoming reception area is flush with luxury, offering plush velvet couches, white-veined marble tables and bar, and inviting spaces to watch passersby stroll along, including outdoor bistro tables… and it only gets better. Decked out from head to toe in prints, stripes, brass accents, geometric shapes and playful motifs, the entirety of Panache reminds us it’s fun to mix and match and that a little bit of clashing—done carefully—can be very, very cool.

A Good Bed

Venture upstairs and you’ll find the hotel offers 7 different varieties of rooms and suites to suit your traveling needs, whether traveling with a pal, your love or your kiddos. The rooms are delightfully diverse, though all share a common theme of being fabulously luxe with just a touch of funky. What do we mean? Well, for starters, the mod furniture mixed with the ultra-patterned wallpaper against the extremely busy rug is a lot to take in—but somehow it all works. We also love the novel extra touches like the rotary-style phone that hangs bedside, the Bonne Nouvelle body products and the divinely white bathroom, complete with a tub and his and hers sinks. As one of their hotel-branded fortune cookie treasure’s cheekily states, “No gym, no pool, but a good bed.” We’re certainly not complaining.

Fine French Dining

If you’re anything like us, you’re probably wondering about the food situation right about now. Never fear, because Hotel Panache has you covered. Whether opting for in-room breakfast service or your classic buffet, you’ll be swooning over the perfectly puffed croissants, soft-boiled eggs and, of course, the French toast. In fact, the ground floor restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday (open for dinner only on Saturdays), so even if you’re just passing through the neighborhood, we highly recommend stopping in for a bit of delicious food and a whole lot of panache.
