Wedding vendors are known to pamper their brides, ensuring the big day to be a spectacular one. But what happens when you turn the wedding industry around and place the focal point on those that make these magical days happen? Enter Tassels and Tastemakers, a wedding industry event thrown for vendors by Be Inspired PR. This year's New York event took place at 404 NYC, a blank canvas that was transformed into a mini-wedding market party. The event was for mingling, networking and industry bonding but the modern design and flowing chardonnay was the icing on the proverbial cake (and we are still swooning over all the little details – hello, spiked ice cream!).
Be Inspired PR recounts the event, from their different booths to the Bridal Market Showcase. With Tassels and Tastemakers, everyone in the bridal industry gets to be the center of attention.
What is Tassels and Tastemakers?
Every year during Bridal Fashion Week, we bring our big networking party, Tassels and Tastemakers, to the big apple! This exclusive event brings the movers and shakers of the event industry all together for a fun night of networking, cocktails and picture-perfect moments!
What was so special about this year's event?
This year, we decided to bring an exciting addition to the event! We had top brands in the wedding and lifestyle space give a first-look of their new collections and products to editors, influencers, and top industry pros! Be sure to check out the photos of all of the booths including Bed Bath and Beyond's wedding + home registry and 'Bachelor' Alum Desiree Hartsock's new bridal line!
This event would not be possible without the brilliant design direction of Gianna SanFilippo of Chic Celebrations. She warmed up this chic white space with beautiful blues, greens and natural texture. Even though every booth added their own personal design flair, Gianna managed to keep the space looking cohesive and modern!
From Gianna SanFilippo of Chic Celebrations:
Tell us a little about the space!
The event space at 404 NYC is a clean, fresh and vibrant space. White walls and glass panels make it a blank canvas for design (praise hands!!!). This year's Tassels featured a Bridal Market Showcase for media, bloggers and editors followed by a cocktail party for industry influencers and pros. What a turnout! Alicia King Photography was there to capture all of the fun!

How did you work with such a blank space?
We wanted to warm the space up with wood and iron tables and bars from Party Rental Ltd. and wild and whimsy green arrangements of different shapes and sizes by none other than Mixed Greens Event Design. Each vendor had a warm welcoming space and was on display throughout both back-to-back events.
Eliza Gwendalyn was there doing live digital sketches of the guests. It was so fun to watch and such a cool digital takeaway for everyone there. Murray's Cheese kept everyone full with an amazing spread of meats, cheeses, charcuterie, and seasonal sweets like fruit tartlets and apple crumble bars. The parmesan puffs were by far the biggest hit and went perfectly with the ONEHOPE Chardonnay and Champagne that was poured all night! Thanks to For Your Party, our bar was complete with adorable custom cocktail napkins and stir sticks.

Highlights from the night?
Three words - Boozy Ice Cream! Tipsy Scoop was there serving a variety of spiked ice creams and sorbets. Music from Jarrell Entertainment kept the mood lively and upbeat, and who doesn’t love some good photobooth shenanigans?!
Final thoughts on the event?
We had such a great turnout! Saw some familiar faces and made some new friends. Looking forward to next year!
