In case you haven't heard, eloping is in and it's here to stay. The appeal is easy to see: save an actual ton of money (and get it spend it on the fun stuff, like the honeymoon), intimately exchange your vows and celebrate with loves ones, and have more freedom to design the day exactly how you want it. Flutter Magazine recognized all of this and recently hosted a contest where one very lucky couple won their dream elopement. What exactly does that mean? All of the details, from the venue to the "reception," were included in their prize. Joined only by their immediate families, bride Ellen and groom Jeremy, said their vows at HammerSky Vineyards against a backdrop of sunlit vineyards followed by a cocktail hour, dinner and cake.

California's finest, handpicked by Ellen and Jeremy, assembled from across the state to collaborate and create this magical fall wedding filled with dusty rose linen, moody florals and food reflective of fall's harvest such as figs, apples and plenty of wine. We caught up with the photographer who captured it all, Lacie Hansen, about the day from her favorite moment to shooting at HammerSky for the first time.

Tell us about the venue!

This was my first time working at HammerSky Vineyards and wow this place is gorgeous with endless views! This venue is tucked away between vineyards allowing you to have a very intimate feeling for your wedding.

How did you get to know the couple?

This was a contest that Flutter Magazine put together for a lucky couple to win an elopement with their favorite vendors. We chose Ellen and Jeremy and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter couple!

What was your favorite moment of the evening?

Ellen and Jeremy were joined by each of their parents and siblings. My favorite moment was all of them gathered together at the table enjoying the delicious food and celebrating the newlyweds.

What was your favorite part about shooting at this location?

As a photographer, it is always fun to photograph in new locations. What I loved about HammerSky are the vineyards that go on forever in my lens, and also the house has beautiful window light. We did Ellen's getting ready photos
inside and the light was amazing!
