This Classic Italian Wedding Venue Comes with Olive Groves, Terrazza Parties, and Gelato Stops

Few places capture the glamour of summertime holidays quite like Tuscany, where cypress-lined roads lead to hill towns, aperitifs arrive cold, church bells mark the hour, and dinner begins under strings of light with everyone dressed a little better than usual. Italy was always going to make the guest list, and wedding venue Castelfalfi  fits our Holiday: VR Summer Club Collection to a capital T (for Tuscany). This is where you check us INN, drop your bags, and immediately get your spritz in gear, because the setting is doing a heaping helping of the work: sweeping countryside views, a restored medieval village and long farm tables (sharing is caring, after all). Days here are less itinerary, more sip your way through the afternoon, grab a gelato in town, let aperitivo stretch into dinner, and consider every extra bottle a justifiable detour in your diet. It’s destination-wedding weekend with old-school glamour and an a wink.

The venue basically functions as its own summer club the kind people used to summer at for weeks, where everything happens on-site and no one feels the need to leave.

A Venue Worth Dreaming About

Close your eyes and picture Tuscany at its most enchanting: soft golden light over rolling hills, vineyards stretching to the horizon, and a hilltop village where history and modern charm feel like old friends. Now open them. Because that scene is real, and it’s called Castelfalfi. Set in the heart of Tuscany near Montaione, Castelfalfi is not just a resort. It is an entire medieval village, thoughtfully restored and reimagined as one of Italy’s most compelling wedding destinations. Whether your celebration unfolds under blue skies or alongside a romantic Tuscan drizzle, Castelfalfi offers something rare in this region: beautiful, seamless options come rain or shine.

A Village With Its Own Story

Castelfalfi feels less like a hotel and more like a living, breathing Tuscan town. The estate spans roughly 2,700 acres of vineyards, olive groves, and wooded hills, with the historic borgo at its heart. Cobbled streets wind past stone buildings, quiet piazzas, and panoramic viewpoints that feel pulled from another century. Within the village itself, you will find a small church ideal for intimate ceremonies, local artisan shops, and a gelato stop for afternoon strolls. Guests can wander freely, linger over espresso, or simply take in the sense of place. For weddings, this creates something incredibly special: your guests are not just attending an event, they are stepping into a Tuscan village for the weekend.

Endless Options

What truly sets Castelfalfi apart as a wedding venue is its variety of distinct, beautiful spaces. Outdoor ceremonies can take place with sweeping countryside views, within the historic borgo, or at the castle itself, La Rocca, which offers dramatic architecture and a timeless atmosphere. For receptions, couples can choose from multiple open-air terraces, garden settings, or panoramic dining locations that highlight Tuscany’s natural beauty. Each space feels intentional and flexible, allowing weddings to feel personal rather than formulaic. And then there is the question many couples quietly worry about when planning a Tuscan wedding. What if it rains?

A Wedding Weekend, Not Just a Wedding Day

Beyond the ceremony itself, Castelfalfi is ideal for couples who want to turn their wedding into a full weekend experience. Between wedding events, days can be filled with wine and olive oil tastings sourced directly from the estate, hands-on cooking classes, spa treatments, rounds of golf, or leisurely nature walks through the surrounding hills. If you’re looking for a celebration that feels calm, considered, full, and beautiful - this is your spot.

 Aria, A Rare Rain-Ready Ballroom

One of Castelfalfi’s most exciting recent additions is Aria, a contemporary ballroom that offers something almost unheard of in Tuscany: a stunning indoor venue with floor to ceiling glass windows. Designed to host elegant weddings, celebrations, and events, Aria can accommodate up to 450 guests and brings a refined, modern sensibility to the historic estate. The space is light-filled, architecturally striking, and thoughtfully integrated into its surroundings, offering a seamless transition between indoor elegance and the Tuscan landscape beyond. For couples planning their dream Tuscany wedding, Aria is a game changer. If the weather turns, there is no need for last-minute stress or scaled-back plans. Instead, you have a sophisticated, purpose-built ballroom that feels just as special as an outdoor celebration, while still allowing the beauty of Castelfalfi to shine through.

Ciao for Now, Meet You in Tuscany

The best summer weddings feel like everyone has escaped somewhere wonderful, and Tuscany does that before the first toast is poured. Castelfalfi pairs postcard scenery with practical brilliance: remarkable ceremony settings, a glass-walled ballroom for weather pivots, and enough on-site pleasures to keep guests happily occupied from espresso runs to olive oil tastings. It's a summer holiday meets iconic, destinaion wedding. It delivers all the romance people hope for in Italy, with none of the scramble they fear while planning from afar. Send the save-the-dates, reserve the flights, and make your wedding weekend a destination people will talk about for years.
