What's cooler than a cucumber mask? A new barn venue in Napa Valley! When we heard through the Napa grapevine that there was a beautiful, brand-new barn on the block, we knew we wanted/needed/must have an insider's look at all the loveliness. Who else would be spilling this Napa news other than the dream team behind Event Space Consulting/Alison Events. They got their designer hands all over this pretty new venue set amongst a bucolic patchwork of rolling vineyards and crafted a shoot to show off the new space, that is nothing short of sheer perfection (say that five times fast). At the helm of the shoot is Jesse Tombs of Event Space Consulting/Alison Events and boy did he ever bring it with an all-star team of vendors & a beautiful vision for this barn. It's not often a brand-new barn pops up in Napa so when it does and this team of vendors are involved, you best believe we are going to give you a front-row seat!
Imagine making your way down a long, winding driveway surrounded by fields of vineyards and seeing a bride floating amongst the green grasses for gorgeous bridal photos. Stunning, right? The Barn at Green Valley, built in 2015 for the owners' daughter's wedding is so much more than a space for celebration, it's a destination. Think of it as an escape to the French Provencal countryside, while being only 20 minutes from Napa Valley proper and 40 minutes from San Francisco.
Your guests will be treated to a ceremony with the barn as the backdrop, dripping with lilacs if you like, to add a touch of whimsy to the otherwise rustic and sophisticated setting. Moreover, every lounge and dining area has a vineyard view from the modern open-air concept while the custom bar area hangs with vintage edison bulbs, bathing your guests in that gorgeous warm glow as they sip on sweet and smoky libations.
We were thrilled to sit down with the uber-talented Jesse Tombs of Alison Events to discuss the vision behind this shoot where a mix of icy blues and lavenders pop against weathered woods for a fabulous French provencal countryside feel. Combined with the stunning images from Sandra Fazzino, the fabulous floral design from Tulipina Design, the table settings from Casa de Perrin and rentals from Found Vintage Rentals this shoot is one for the books.

Tell us a little bit about the history and setting of the venue
Built for the owners daughter's wedding in 2015, The Barn at Green Valley was built with love and with respect for it's surroundings, which is evident in all the small details and customization that was thought of from the ground up. Surrounded by farm land and lush vineyards, it is the perfect location for your next event.
What inspired the photo shoot that your team produced at the barn?
The color palette was pulled from an image of raw linen fabric hanging in a barren dessert in Kinfolk Magazine. I wanted the whole editorial to feel a bit isolated in a way, effortless and tranquil. The icy blue and misty lavender tones pop with the backdrop of the darkly stained and weathered wood walls and barn doors.
Tell us about the gorgeous design details that you infused into the setting
Furnishings from Found Vintage Rentals were kept simple in shape and lush in texture, mostly in rich velvet and linen texture. Kianna Underwood, the incredible floral designer behind Tulipina Designs, created bloom heavy garden inspired arrangements dripping with seasonal blooms in pink, lavender, blues and whimsical vines from her local garden. Yonder Design, a San Francisco based event branding and invitation design firm created custom leather menus, to plan on the masculine touches throughout the barn.
La Tavola Fine Linen and Silk and Willow provided beautiful silk and linen linens for the shoot in icy tones to match the palette. Jesse used a more classic gown from Lace and Bustel and a more modern eyelet cut look from Loho Bride to bring life to the property. Casa de Perrin provided their amazing stoneware plates and cut crystal glassware which add richness to the tables scape.
