Cosmopolitan cool, yet hidden and wholly delicious, The Bistrot is where you want to be, for Sunday brunch in Bali. Discreetly situated behind a beautiful temple but roadside on the very popular ‘Eat Street’ of the Seminyak area of southern Bali, this restaurant and bar has been conceptualized and lovingly put together by the formidable Moroccan and Belgian design team of Zohra and Blaise.
Intimate Interiors
The interior is softly lit by a multitude of lamps and lanterns, bathing the collection of showcased antiques and curios sourced from all over the archipelago in a soft amber light. PS – you’ll look AMAZING too, regardless of whether or not you danced the night away.
Beautifully mismatched is mandatory and the interior is a gorgeous and sumptuous collection of sofas and rough hewn woods offset by soaring ceilings and amber lanterns. “The loft style atmosphere is artistic yet welcoming, framed by Blaise's travel collection of impressive photography, which as an exhibition changes from time to time. The working semi-open kitchen found on the ground floor, is where all the menu's fresh, tempting items are created. From the cooling natural stone floor a scatter with rugs underfoot, up to the beautiful skeleton of the metal rafters holding a real wooden ceiling”
Sink Into Sumptous Seminyak Eats
Eats Slowly, madly, deeply sink into these sumptuous Seminyak eats. While away a Sunday softly, tucked into your choice of sweet or savory after perusing the vintage French menu. We’re currently craving the soft shell crab tempura - it’s crunchy, just salty enough and creamy on the inside. The Bistro burger must be seen to be believed – better bring your appetite.

Craving something a little sweeter? Try the hazelnut crepes with one of the prettiest lattes we’ve ever seen. Insider’s Tip – throw your diet out the window and deign to order one of the fabulous Frappe’s. They’re known for them. Our favorite? Definitely chocolate or hazelnut. If you’re throwing caution to the proverbial wind, these wonderful frothy mixtures of coffee, syrup, ice and milk is marvelous. Vintage silver tea vases with fresh sprigs of flowers sweetly adorn each rough hewn table and round out the radiant atmosphere.
