We love a good challenge here at The Venue Report, and the team at Be Inspired PR certainly delivered! They asked us to take their favorite fiesta fête pics and find a venue that would be the perfect match for the decor in the photo. We paired each image with the venue that we thought would be an ideal setting.
When it comes to the art and culture of Mexico, it is so colorful and inspiring that there can be many ways to interperate it. Some of the colorful fiesta inspired images the team at Be Inspired PR sent us lend themselves to a more casually colorful setting, ideal for a cantina type of venue. While some of the other style images evoked a more elegant feel, ideal for a traditional hacienda venue setting. You will notice below how even just having a colorful fiesta event design in mind can go in so many directions and venues. Typically when planning an event, you are inspired by an aesthetic first, and then are tasked with the challenge to find a venue that is a snug fit with that particular design direction! Be Inspired PR wanted to see if we, as venue experts, could locate the perfect venues for their favorite designs. How did we do?!
1. THE STYLE: Bright and cheery flowers fuzed with patterned prints on both ceramic bowls and a tiled table call for a celebration of all things colorfully caliente! Photo from Zoom Theory Photography
THE VENUE. Cucina Enoteca LOCATION. Del Mar, California
The playful patterns and kaleidoscope of colors above make us want to shake our maracas, sip salty margaritas and find a colorful venue to match the beautiful styling in the image. However, the fun festive decor is not literal. Its a playful spin on a Mexican fiesta, so finding a venue to fit this is important. Cucina Enoteca has a Mexican vibe but with a colorful contemporary spin. The hanging plants, fun chairs and patterned linens make this venue a perfect fit for the style above. This venue accommodates group events (we especially love the outside terrace) and is ideal for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, social events and dinner parties. 2. THE STYLE: This design boasts a color explosion, hanging objects and the all around festive Frida Kahlo vibe. It makes us want to yell "Ole!" We think we need to find a venue South of the Border to accommodate this splash of bohemia-meets-Mexico party design. Event Design by La Boheme // Photo by Wild Whim Photography
THE VENUE: Hacienda Cocina y Cantina LOCATION: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Yep, we did head south of the border! Based on this palette we think the decor would be right at home here at Hacienda Cocina y Cantina. We can totally envision the wood rustic dining chairs sitting oceanfront and on the sands of Mexico's beaches for a night of al fresco entertaining. This venue boasts an expansive stretch of private beach right in front of the stunning Land's End rock formation! You can also choose from their other scenic locations including a spacious outdoor infinity pool deck overlooking the Sea of Cortez, a charming courtyard with a traditional fountain and a private dining room with rough-hewn wooden beams and rustic punched-tin lighting features!
3. THE STYLE: We love the cactus, flowers and lanterns in these look-at-me shades of color. Hot sauce bottles become vases and mini teracotta pots have been transformed into places settings. We definitely think these will be at home on rustic wood tabletops, so the colors POP! THE VENUE: Puesto at The Headquarters LOCATION: San Diego, California
These sunny and summery punches of color call for a more neutral venue vibe, but one that still contains elements of Mexico's culture. Puesta at The Headquarters is a new restaurant in San Diego's Seaport District. This is the ideal home for the decor styles of above. Layers of wood are reminiscent of Mexico's handcrafted furniture and giant colorful murals bring in the peppy feel. Additionally you can serve guests an exotic selection of hand crafted creations from Mexico’s best flavors, including : La Verdad, which has agua fresca de nopales, tequila blanco and fresh lemon juice. The restaurant combines a traditional taco line, a full-service bar and a stunning dining room all designed by Thomas Schoos. This restaurant has buyout and private dining options as well as custom menus available to create your ultimate fiesta dreams.
4. THE STYLE: The beautiful wood table and overflowing red florals fuzed with bougainvillea touches evoke a traditional Mexican Hacienda vibe. Rather than a playful fiesta feel which brings a more casual atmosphere, this has an elegant and refined twist. Design: Dish Wish Events.
THE VENUE: Rancho La Puerta LOCATION: Baja California, Mexico
The table by Dish Wish Events above is yearning for a venue that will turn the festive fête into a fine-dining experience. Rancho La Puerta is a stunning and tranquil retreat that just started hosting events! The grounds at this venue feature 3,000 acres including 32 acres of gardens; hiking trails; an organic farm, oak trees and more, all in the shadow of Baja California’. The Flower-filled patios, traditional courtyards and the dining room with soaring ceilings flanked by arched windows provide the ideal backdrop for the rustic and elegant table setting.
