No Really, You and Your Friends Need to Stay at This New Montauk Retreat

Say hello to New York City’s hottest weekend getaway destination, Marram. Located in Montauk, this new luxury boutique resort is the perfect place to escape the city with a group of friends. Looking for a chill bachelorette party idea? This may be it. Marram features 96 guest rooms, an open communal lobby, dedicated retail space offering local tokens and beach essentials, along with a South American café from an internationally acclaimed chef team – Sounds dreamy, right? The best part is the outdoor pool, which is just steps away from the Terrace surf break, one of the world’s best surfing destinations.

The hotel’s dedication to substantial luxury, vast relaxation, and broadened palettes takes shape in the onsite and offsite experiences. Guests embark on an all-encompassing journey of the mind, body, and soul during sunrise meditation, wellness workshops, Marram yoga, and bi-weekly guided walks through nature and the dunes- Marram’s namesake. Onsite surfing lessons, curated by Marram Surf, invite guests to partake in the adventure embedded within this picturesque coastal location. Led by a local family of world-class surfers, Marram Surf surpasses the traditional surf lesson by teaching guests how to carefully watch the waves during the onsite Surf Check workshop. Nightly bonfires beckon guests to gather around the outdoor patio fire pits, accompanied by s’mores and plush blankets. Imagine grabbing a glass of wine, sitting back and listening to the ocean while surrounded by your closest friends.

Marram is only a five-minute walk from the main stretch of the bustling heart of Montauk; home to an eclectic mix of local restaurants, fishing and surf shops. For the group that likes to go on morning adventures, we recommend visiting the nearby Shadmoor State Park, which offers hiking and biking trails throughout its scenic bluffs, and just a short bike ride to Montauk Point State Park where the first lighthouse in New York was built and still stands today.
