The Setting
Imagine: Dining with your nearest and dearest among fields of flowers at the base of a mountain. The sun is setting, the sky glowing brilliantly with golden and rose hues, the jagged peaks above you painted with light. The sunset and the most brilliant star show rises to take its place. You dance beneath the velvet blue sky, shooting stars streaking overhead. This is the raw beauty found at North Arm Farm in the Pemberton Valley.
The Farm
An organic working farm, North Arm is open to the public during the day, with a small store selling produce and baked goods and a friendly staff to assist you with any need. There is seasonal berry picking during the summer and pumpkin patch rides in the fall. It’s a perfect setting for an outdoor summer wedding, an elegant long-table dinner party in the fields, or a family reunion bar-b-que.
A Fun-Filled Farm
Your guests can wander the fields, enjoy the tire swing, play a couple rounds of horseshoes, or soak in the unobstructed beauty of Mt. Currie with a cocktail in hand.
The setting lends itself to a variety of event styles—you can chase your dreams of rustic charm or natural elegance—dress it up, or keep things casual.
In case of rain, an open-sided barn structure is large enough to seat all your guests. Open wooden beams overhead are the perfect spot to throw up some cafe lights and/or bunting to make things festive.
Otherwise, you can hold an alfresco reception in the nearby fields and save the barn for the crazy dance party you’ll be dominating when the sun goes down.
The Big Day
Natasshia & Garrett wanted to have a wedding that was simple and beautiful. Minimal decor was needed as the farm was already so beautiful on its own.
There was no need to run offsite for photographs because North Arm Farm is expansive and stunning, we just walked through the fields with them and their wedding party, keeping things simple and carefree. With a ceremony facing the mountains and a reception tucked away in the barn, their wedding had a very epic, yet intimate feel to it.
The rustic nature of the farm lent itself well to creating a non-fussy feeling for their event.
The 360˚ mountain views from the farm are enough reason to celebrate your next occasion here, but we’ll give you a couple more. Situated two and a half hours north of Vancouver and thirty minutes from Whistler, the Pemberton Valley is a great spot for a weekend escape in the mountains.
Around Town
There are plenty of cabins, BnB’s, and resorts where your guests can stay. Outdoor adventures are never far away: fishing, hiking, horseback riding, golf, skydiving, mountain biking, canoeing, and camping—the pristine wilderness of the backcountry is right there if you’re dreaming of a honeymoon off the beaten path.
Starry Sky Adventures
The drive up to Pemberton from Vancouver is equally stunning on the Sea to Sky highway—mountains on one side and the Howe Sound inlet on the other—the scenery reminiscent of Norway’s famous fjords. And, on that road you’ll find yourself waylaid by the majestic beauty of North Arm Farm; dreams of golden sunsets and shimmering night skies dancing in your head.
