"We'll meet you at the airport" – not the most exciting (or popular) phrase you've heard, until now. When JFK airport announced it was restoring and transforming the historic TWA terminal into an onsite Mid Century Modern boutique hotel, the hospitality world was abuzz. Now open and accepting reservations, the hotel is a trip back in time to when flying was new and exciting. The 500+ guest rooms are sleek and dapper, combining the best of Mid Century Modern design with today's amenities like the sound proof windows because, airplanes. There are several meeting and event venues onsite too, so you can land and get right to business (or partying, whatever you fancy). There are several lounges and dining experiences throughout the hotel as well including a sunken lounge and food hall. And finally, the newest and possibly most exciting part of the hotel is The Pool Bar: an outdoor infinity pool surrounded by a large observation deck and bar.

You can now lounge, sip and swim at JFK airport while planes land and take off around you. Open from 7am-11pm for hotel guests and 11am-11pm for non-hotel guests, the full service kitchen and bar serve inspired creations like the "Come Fly With Me" cocktail with Grey Goose Vodka, St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Fresh Lime Juice & Prosecco. The pool is also kept cool in summer and heated to 100 degrees in winter for year round lounging capabilities. 

Now onto the real reason you're coming here: the views. Overlooking two iconic runways of JFK (and the world), you'll experience that childhood excitement of watching the planes with an adult spin on it all. First up, the 4L/22R is one of the biggest runways at JFK, stretching over 12,000 feet long, right in front of The Pool Bar. Next up in view is the Bay Runway, the second-longest commercial runway in North America. Despite its close proximity to these runways, The Pool Bar remains at a pleasant sound level. 





Good to know: access to The Pool Bar is complimentary for hotel guests who can bring one additional guest. From there, entry is $25 per person.
