It's also only a one hour drive from the Gold Coast, and just over two hours' drive from Brisbane.In a hurry? Just hop on a flight from Sydney or Melbourne into Ballina/Byron Airport and grab a shuttle.

The iconic caravan is designed to maintain it's retro vibe with the added bonus of modern day luxuries for your getaway. There is not much better than the polished aluminium of an airstream set amongst a beach locale to transport you back into the nostalgic times of yesteryear when life seemed simpler and "hang ten" was the mantra.

Inside Scoop
The upstairs room in The Lodge has a lovely balcony overlooking the rear yard. If you opt to stay in the Airstream you will have more of a camping experience with close quarters and smaller accommodations. BONUS: Word on the street is that the as the internet connection is excellent. So while we think you should unplug while here, you will have the option to be connected if need be!Highlight Reel

Whether you just want to soak in art or host a dinner party, you can do both here. The venue is suitable for a small intimate dinner of 30. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns and offering panoramic views of the Tweed River, the Tweed Regional Gallery is the perfect place to visit to view first-rate contempoary exhibitions. Drink mimosas made from fresh squeezed orange juice while taking in the view. Formerly a small run down traditional beachside kiosk, The Byron Beach Café has been restored to a beautiful beachfront location. Right across the street from Atlantic Byron Bay you will find cute cafe, Bay Leaf. The wall is ever changing with large murals hand painted by local artists. From a tribute to Nelson Mandela to the local surf culture, you never know what masterpiece you will get to gaze out while eating your brekkie.
