Charleston’s Newest Secret for Candlelit Dinners and French 75s: Inside the Dreamy New Dinner-Party Den, La Cave

Charleston has a knack for pulling off elegance with a wink, and its latest addition is no exception. La Cave is the city’s Provençal salon privé and Venue Report’s newest group dining boast. This softly lit sipping lounge and culinary hideaway feels like it’s been shipped straight from the Côte d'Azur. Conceived by Félix Landrum (the tastemaker behind the ever-buzzy Félix Cocktails et Cuisine) and designed by his wife Leslie, La Cave is made for both spontaneous refuge and elaborate get-togethers.

La Cave feels like the physical manifestation of every “timeless dinner party” moodboard you’ve ever saved. Crystal chandeliers, intimate banquettes, portrait-lined walls, and perfectly chilled grapefruit martinis create a romantic, old-world framework for hosts with discerning taste. So, if you’re planning a reception, rehearsal dinner, or private celebration that calls for something more considered than the usual private dining room, we’ve found your venue.

Some venues host a party. Others become the party. La Cave falls firmly in the latter camp. If your vision involves good wine, great conversation, and a room that already understands the assignment, this is where to make it happen. Inquire and book La Cave directly through this feature.
