Londonites know where to go when they’re ready to throw down a serious all-day shopping spree, but it certainly wouldn’t be as fun without starting the day with a bit of a buzz. Kick off the morning of your #bucketlistworthy shop-a-thon with a stop at the gorgeous Aubaine, where you can fill up on fancy bubbly and fill your belly with goodness before burning all those calories walking the 7-level department store at Selfridges. Oh, and hey, if you can’t shop like them, you can at least eat like them.

The Eats
The eats at Aubaine are simply divine. Brunch includes truffle eggs, french toast brioche, lobster spaghetti, Wagyu burgers and marinated mussels. If you’re into more simple, lighter fare while shopping, the chia seed and homemade granola pot or little gem salad with goats cheese might be more up your alley. Either way, you’ll certainly want to take a peek at the champagne list and kick off this occasion with a glass of bubbles.

The Interiors
Light pours into the galley space, giving it an almost outdoorsy feel with all these windows. And like something out of a floral inspiration book, wisteria dangles from the ceiling. With a mix of banquettes and bistro tables, it’s nothing but cozy seating at Aubain. Don’t forget to sneak some pics for the ‘gram because #wehavethisthingwithfloors.

The Scene
Shoe shopping and brunch? Don’t mind if we do. Aubaine is located on the second floor of Selfridges, just beyond the luxury shoe department. The building itself dates back to 1909 and has been a fixture of Oxford Street since its opening. After a day spent scouring through the retail experience, head up to the rooftop bar and restaurant to end this shopping extravaganza the right way.
