The Venue
The Brooklyn Grange has got to be one of NYC’s most jaw dropping + unique venues. A working rooftop urban farm with 380 degrees views of both the Manhattan skyline + Brooklyn + Queens. Although magical at any time of day, try + have your event coincide with sunset so that your guest can enjoy a cocktail while watching the city lights come alive. It’s a truly spectacular scene.
The Setting
Because the whole venue is under the sky, a good tent is necessary for both shade from the intense sun + incase of inclement weather. Also beware that since it’s a working farm with live crops, guests need to be careful about where they walk so as to not step on seedlings etc. Though, this is a small price to pay for the full experience that this one of a kind organic fortress has to offer.
Family Friendly
One cool feature is that if your event has children present, one of the grange’s farmers can give them an educational farm tour including a visit to the chicken coop + an explanation of the rooftops beekeeping operation + beehives.
From Farm To Table
