De Buena Planta – Spanish for “having good roots” or “coming from good plants” is a Garden Club and Mezcalaria, serving agave spirit cocktails and plant-forward Oaxacan small plates. It is more than just a restaurant, it is a sensory experience that beats in the heart of Silver Lake. Guests are welcomed into the 5,000 square-foot outdoor oasis, providing shade, sun, and plant perfection, and a stage for live DJ sets, and array of activations. Tucked away inside is La Casita Mezcalaria, a 950 sq. foot speakeasy.

De Buena Planta is a clean party, where the tacos are filled with vegetables, the mezcalitas are made with organic, cold-pressed juices, and the wine list features natural and biodynamic varietals from Valle de Guadalupe. Design:: De Buena Planta is a plant-foward Mexican bar and restaurant, with an expansive 5,000 square-foot garden dotted with soaring palm tress, cacti and tropical plants. A pergola was built to shade the 20 foot-long bar, built from live-edge slabs of Mexican Cyprus and clad with custom terracotta tiles. Concrete breeze blocks were used to create a sense of privacy for a large sunken firepit area for up to 20 guest. Hidden through a doorway in the courtyard is Casita, a Mezcal speakeasy, featuring an extensive mezcal list and cocktails inspired by trips to Oaxaca.
