We had a wonderful experience at the Hammer and Pincers. All staff were super friendly and helpful, and even offered a one night free upgrade, which was amazing. Food was excellent in particulalr the breakfast! Will defo be coming back .

Lovely stay, great host. There is plenty of space. Bed was comfortable, nice little touches with chocolates and coffee pods. Would definitely stay again. Only thing that was disappointing was the cushions on the outside chairs, they have been left out so gone green. So didn't use these to enjoy the balcony. Superb Breakfast. Well worth the money.
The room was lovely however it smelled like the drains were open and we had to keep the bathroom door shut to keep out the smell

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, staff were great and the room was nicely appointed. The brownies in the room were a lovely bonus as was the coffee machine, fresh milk and the fridge. The owners had obviously gone to considerable efforts to offer a unique place to stay.
The bathroom had an unpleasant odour that we couldn’t clear.
The room was fantastic
Dinner is unaffordable if on business expenses £65 for 3 courses of £50 for a main without drinks
Exceptional Dinner Service
As a small hotel and restaurant it's utterly fabulous, everything has a very high end feel. The forest room (aptly named) is furnished beautifully. The bed is super comfortable, the shower was a proper deluge, great coffee machine and tea making in the room. My business budget didn't stretch to an evening meal but the menu looked amazing. The road was right outside my window which was a bit noisy at rush hour but didn't keep me awake and the fridge (for milk etc.) too but again didn't keep me awake but a bit irritating, I guess I could have switched it off. Minor things really, lovely place.Read more
