Spacious and very comfortable accommodation
Had problem when checking in that I booked a two person apartment, but they then said that I only booked for one person, and then I had to pay extra for my husband. At the time of booking, there was not option to book for two people, but he room was for two so I automatically assumed that it was for two. Very confusing and frustrating, and took a lot of negotiation to sort it out.

The room was comfortable and large and d the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location is excellent.
The hotel was very dated and very expensive to eat or drink in. The western breakfast was pretty terrible, but the buffet was alright.
Amazing location amongst the stunning backdrop of Hakone Yumoto station nearby. Rooms and bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable. Great variety of food items available at hotel restaurants. Nice common areas to relax and take in the view from. Very friendly for elderly customers.
Although the hotel popped up while we were looking for a Ryokan type stay, this is not a traditional Ryokan.
The private onsen with the family was fantastic! It was very close to the train station. I liked the Japanese room, however, the futon beds on the floor were not comfortable. I would suggest western beds for more comfort.
The food was expensive in the hotel. Not many restaurants were open late but we found one place around the corner of the train station which had bbq meat and ramen around 9pm.
Our room was a suite, it was outstanding, probably an all-time top 3 room for me. The onsen spa was fabulous.
Only half the restaurants were open and they didn't seem too keen to serve us.
The staff were very nice, the breakfast amazing they have 2 option breakfast, western and Japanese, the amenities wonderful. Additionally the Japanese room was beautiful and very comfortable. Definitely will come back again.
Very convenient just few minutes walk to train station. Good service and love the tatami style room.
