Stayed for the second time. Wonderful, kind host. Lovely place. I really enjoyed the visit to the Onsen too.
Nice restored old wooden house. Very cosy , like the seating area with the glass panel. Local brewery is just next door.
Slightly smallish but functional.
Yuki-san, the host, was amazing. I felt welcome and at home immediately. The other guests were very nice too, so it was hard to leave again. The house and the room were wonderful and charming with a warm and comfortable vibe.
It was a biiiit difficult to get there since the bus does not drive very often, but the neighbourhood is very nice.

It's inconvenient that the bathroom is shared and has a time limit.
Staff Yuki was absolutely amazing, super kind, supportive and proactively helpful. The place is well cared for and in a convenient place; not far to walk through lovely scenery to buses and nearby boat tours, and the bike is available for a small fee as well.
It gives us experience in staying at a Japanese house. The place is within walking distance to tourist attractions and shops.
The place did not provide towels
We had good time at the guesthouse, the bunk beds are confortable and big enough with places on the side for your stuff. The guesthouse as a kitchen with everything u need and she can give you advice on where to go / eat, etc.. really nice. Nice atmosphere. Central location, there is bus from the city center going to the train station. Quiet and clean, definitly a good value for money.

Yuki was the perfect host. The house was When we arrived in Yanagawa she offered to pick us up from the train station. She offered us tickets to a special palace visit on our arrival. She also took us to private festival preparations and organized night boat rides for us. She gave us a lot of recommendations for cafés, restaurants and bars in the neighborhood and she also told us all about the his...
