The Woodlark Hotel Portland, a Tribute Portfolio, reimagines the Pacific Northwest, crafting a new standard that embraces bold, aspirational design. Rooted in the rich history and natural beauty of Portland, the hotel offers an experience that is nuanced and modern. The Woodlark Hotel is a living embodiment of thecity’s potential as Portland grows & evolves. It reflects an optimistic, aspirational vision of Portland —lighter and more refined yet perfectly in tune with the city's distinctive character. The Woodlark represents the PNW through a softer, more feminine lens, moving away from the rugged flannels, beards, and reclaimed wood that have long defined the region. By drawing inspiration from its surroundings and reinterpreting them in a fresh and innovative way, The Woodlark balances sophisticated beauty with rich substance, nuance, and soul. Every detail is thoughtfully crafted, from the design elements to the calming atmosphere, making the hotel a place where guests connect with the spirit of Portland.Marriott

Ariel, May 2025
Pros (+) Beautiful building, classy and elegant decor. The location was perfect for us to walk a few blocks to Powell’s books & Sizzle Pie. The room was small but felt bigger with the tall ceiling and large window. We loved the coffee shop & in house made delicious pastries in the morning. Best scone of my life! The provided my pup with a bed, bowls & treats. The valet is on the pricy side, but worth it to...
Cons (-) A few small things would be the toilet was loose and would move when used. We also had to call and ask for robes as there were none in the bathroom. We also had trouble with the internet and were not able to connect to it after several tries and calls to the front desk.

Pros (+) Added price stuff with minimal response as to why- just presented as a given,(30$ daily fee for?) Small room, clearly the worst of the worst, prime price paid in cash. Have stayed in much better places (embassy suites, etc.) for much less. Outside window is a wall, actually a walled up wall. I have to believe we were given the worst room in the hotel. Almost seems vindictive. No closet, minimal st...

Pros (+) Cute building, meh lighting in the room.
Cons (-) I hated the $30 destination fee. What a rip off! Also I booked a city view but they tried to give me a room with a half window view of the ventilation shaft and curtains that wouldn’t open. So disappointing. Happily they let us change rooms. Also the room lighting was depressing and dim rather than warm and cozy. Come on! Lighting is important!!! The bathroom lighting was good though. Oh and the W...

Pros (+) We were warmly welcomed by Paul, General Manager from the hotel. The hotel is a beautifully renovated old building- super stylish and a little quirky. Loved the color scheme! Very comfortable beds, especially loved the headboard, the crisp sheets and the nice bathroom. There is a cafe in the lobby with very good coffee and excellent, high quality pastries. Perfect location!

Pros (+) The main floor layout is very cozy and inviting. I like that they have the restaurant, coffee shop, and bar in the building so you can choose to stay in the comfort of your hotel and still be sociable and have a nice time. The Decor is also nice. I also liked that they locked the entrance doors of the hotel from the outside after a certain time, made me feel safer.
Cons (-) The room size is pretty compact which I wasn’t the biggest fan of but decided to appreciate it for its cozy size. The option of a closet would also be nice and they didn’t have an iron but they did have a steamer, I like to have an iron it’s quick and no fuss.
