Loved the multicoloured lights in the bathroom. Loved the views. Within walking distance of the town centre. Breakfast was delicious. It's a reasonably quiet hotel. Car park was good. Shower was good.
The pillows were too thick for my liking. Not many tea bags in the room. They tried to discourage going in the pool as a grid was damaged but I insisted as the pool is the reason I chose the hotel.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and caring. The hotel is beautifully designed in a charming rustic style and has a true homey feel. Breakfast not good not freshly cooked very dry
- Location was fantastic, ideally situated between Windermere and the lake. - I didn't love having to book a time for breakfast. Overall the breakfast situation felt too formal; I'd really prefer a buffet to waiter service for breakfast. - I enjoyed two very relaxing baths but on the third day, my bath seemed to start leaking out the plughole -- I couldn't get the bath to fill up. Pillows too thick. Breakfast slow and rigid in service. Cooked breakfast lukewarm. Rooms not serviced properly eh bins not emptied.
Wonderful facilities such as the pool area and restaurant. Cosy bedding with the added bonus of having a fan - much needed in the summer months!
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean with good view. It's only 10 mins drive from the train station and 15 mins walk to Bowness-on-Windermere. The food in the restaurant is also tasty. It's recommended to have dinner or drinks to watch the sunset there.
There is no AC in the room but a small fan. It could be hot if you come in the summer
An excellent location. The hotel is very well run with exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. The food, I had breakfast and evening meal, was fantastic, really good quality and choice on the menu. I benefited from beautiful weather but the views from the hotel terrace are stunning.
