The staff were very friendly and accommodating, met with Norman, Chef Lindy who makes the most divine meals. Hennley & Ronel were very caring.
The constant checking in on me, I needed my space! I didn't like being discussed with other guests
Such a beautiful and historic house and a delight to be there. Wonderful dinner and breakfast by the pool and rose garden in wonderful sunshine a real treat. Very attentive staff.

The location, the immediate surrounding area is very poor and didn’t feel super safe although to Be fair the property was surrounded by an electric fence.
We had a wonderful stay at an unexpected gem in the "middle of nowhere". It was a great surprise although we read about Welgelegen Manor in deciding to stay there, to make this discovery. A thoughtfully restored Manor House. Peaceful with great rooms and pool. Fantastic food and service. Lovely staff. We used it as a stop off for a long road trip but we could’ve easily stayed longer. Great place to relax. Great wine too!

the entire experience was above and beyond expectations. The room was beautiful, the food was some of the best i have ever experienced and the people running it went above and beyond what we would have expected to the extent that they got us 2 sim cards to use so that we had internet for google maps. The buildings and grounds speak for themselves. The property is steeped in history and it is an experience on its own just learning about the history of the place
Some of the expenses weren't always clearly communicated, especially when it came to dinner and indulging in their wine selection. However service was tops
Top place just one hour from JNB, superb dinner, fantastic manor, pool and gardens. I can only suggest it.
