The rooms had a touch of luxury about them. There was water and chocolates too. We had fresh coffee on the terrace when we arrived, and there was always tea and coffee and biscuits available.
Our room although beautiful, wasn’t quite ensuite. We had a roomy bathroom all to ourselves with shower and spa bath but it was over the hallway.
The room was quiet and comfortable, wonderful hosts. Great seating areas inside and out on veranda to read a book. Truely special place to visit. The breakfast was perfect, exceptional fruit salad and poached eggs. The hot tube is just what I needed and very much enjoyed a couple sessions before heading to bed. The house was picture perfect, as was the views. Therooms are fitted out with no expense spared. Blyth and Ann were the perfext hosts and welomed us with open arms. The breakfast was a sumptuous spread and the extra dinner we had (cooked by Blyth) was mouth watering (and worth every dollar).

It was a lovely house, we had a spacious room and bathroom which opened onto the terrace.
If you are contemplating staying here, do it! The grounds and accommodations are excellent. We were greeted warmly at the door and offered refreshment from our journey right away. This was a fabulous place to stay - quiet, stunning surrounding and wonderful hosts - I thoroughly recommend the Homestead.
Nothing could be better
Hosts, Blyth & Ann, are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Blyth cooked us two exceptional, sumptuous dinners--he clearly has fine dining experience; our best meals in NZ to date! Bed was too soft for me but didn't bother my husband. Breakfast is from 7:30am-9am -- we like to have breakfast a little later when we're on vacation...lol.Read more
Lovely location with warm, friendly hosts. The breakfasts and the ambience were wonderful.
I appreciate that air condition is not featured highly in this part of the world, but it was quite hot and the lack of fly screens meant windows had to remain shut.
