Very kind and attentive staff at the concierge, Eve and Common Club bar. Bed was wonderfully comfortable and the dinner we had at Eve was delicious. Bartenders at Common Club were the coolest - super knowledgeable and great to chat with. We loved staying at the hotel and would definitely come back.
Great locale in Old Town. Heated bathroom flooring!!! Wonderful staff and hotel vibe.
As with many combined old buildings that have been renovated, some rooms are impractical to reach by elevator so you use the myriad of stairs.
The property was an ideal location with a beautiful bar and terrace. I have stayed in a hotel 2000+ nights and the room was top 25. Separation between sleeping area and the bathroom/dressing area was very cleverly done indeed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was pitch black for sleeping when divider was closed. The location and the decor was brilliant. Staff were friendly and. Helpful
The noise at night. Due to being in the city centre there was loud music playing till 3am. The sound proofing was a help but do make for a disturbed night. Understandably it is a city centre hotel, but it would have been good to have known when booking.
We absolutely loved this hotel. Breakfast was great, we loved the bar and the location was so convenient.
Magical, beautiful, and full of charm in the perfect location with a view of Edinburgh Castle from our terrace! We absolutely loved our stay here; it exceeded our wildest expectations. Genuinely one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in, and we would return in a heartbeat. 10/10.
The only thing that could be improved is the lack of a spaif we could change anything, that would be it.
