The view from the hotel was lovely. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Pool area was great with the view behind it. Hotel was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Hight quality of service. The personel was very nice and gave a lot of recommendations for restaurants, arranged all issues very fast. The are of swimming pool and bar has an amazing view of the city.
The grounds were lovely
The rooms were awful. While large, they were totally lacking in any charm or character. In fact they reminded me of a dorm room before a student decorates it. The public areas have been redone but are so ugly. We left and went to another hotel that was absolutely go for $200/night less.
Stunning hotel, great mix of history and modernisation. The views across the city are unforgettable. Anne and her team were friendly, kind and attentive. I’ve never been made to feel so welcome in such a genuine way.

The hotel is stunning. Beautifully restored 16th century building. The room was lovely and comfortable. The views are amazing. The staff was really kind and helpful.

The room has two floors. There is a table below the stairs. If you stand up you may hit your head. There was a foam protection. Unfortunately it was not had been well maintained. I hit my head. The hotel only gave me a bandaid and next day said that they would not fix it because they didn’t have that foam in inventory and the procurement has to buy it. Excellent welcome to am exquisite location. Thank you for the room overseeing the city and the environs. What a treat!
Everything about the hotel was excellent The staff were beyond description. They strove to serve us in every way and succeeded. The vistas in every direction were wonderful.
The nearby eateries (to see and mix with the locals) are a considerable walk but we walked nonetheless and enjoyed the walk.
The room sizes were fantastic - especially for Europe. The staff was incredibly friendly and they went out of their way to keep the property spotless and smelling good.
The location can be a challenge for anyone who struggles walking up and down hills or stairs. We absolutely loved the location - but there were a couple in our party that chose to stay at the hotel rather than explore the city because of the hills/stairs.
