Reception made us feel like welcome members of an elite family. There was a cocktail hour before dinner and we were able to engage with other visitors and share travel stories. Meals -- for us that was dinner and breakfast-- were excellent.
Wish they had an elevator, but the staff helped us with our suitcases that were getting heavier at the end of our travels!
It was quiet, elegant and comfortable and well situated for sightseeing in Stirling. The furnishings in the bedroom were beautiful and it was good to have an additional lounge to sit in.
We struggled a little with the plumbing- a high sided roll top bath and shower and the plug in the wash hand basin allowed the water to leak out. We were sad that the restaurant is closed on a Monday as it had good reviews and we would have liked to dine there.

The room was comfortable, clean, had a nice view., very roomy,and the location was perfect- walking distance to the Sterling Castle, the Wallace monument , shops,restaurants, etc… the staff was excellent, very accommodating , friendly and cordial, breakfast was yummy!

The location was perfect. Near the Castle and Wallace monument the meal was superb. The staff was excellent. The room was above leisurely.
