Best is to book the room with ocean view. 3rd or 4th floor. The Ocean view plus is very spacious and much better than the non plus.
Area is very nice, has the access to the beach club, much better area than Ao Nang.
Very modern hotel with great restaurants and pools
Location was very peaceful. Breakfast was great & the bedroom was lovely. Beach is just across the road
The one restaurant was closed (Kin) we were looking forward to it.

Absolutely incredible! We have loved our 6 days at Varana. The service is fantastic everyone is so friendly and helpful. The hotel it self is new, clean and beautiful. The food is delicious 🤤 so so good! 50m pool is fantastic. Definitely recommend.
The hotel is new and the rooms and pools are lovely and well maintained. The groundsmen and cleaners are really friendly and the cocktails at the Sip swim up bar were great!
There were a couple of things which were a little disappointing. All the wellness activities are extras and quite expensive - for example, 800 baht for a yoga class. One morning we didn’t have much time for breakfast (which we had paid for) as we were going on an island trip so I asked if we could have 2 coffees put in takeaway cups. The service was great. We loved the breakfast and the restaurants. Also the spa and massage options were exceptional. We all had a blast. Definitely recommend.
Apart from the kids pool, there aren't many options for entertaining a toddler. There is so much space in the campus, so putting a little kids area or even just a slide and swings would be enough for us. We know it's not exactly the target audience but that would make our stay even better.

Amenities are fantastic and you feel like home with the minimalist luxury. Everything is in the details! Food is super delicious. And the onsen wellness spa is super nice, one of a kind! Massages are super relaxing as well.
The sun beds at the beach club should be free to hotel customers without any spending requirement (hotel customers can only use sun sitting bags on the beach area). The music of the beach club doesn’t fit with the profile of the customers in the hotel. It is a wellness hotel but beach club is a party place. Staff’s English is very limited.

The beach club was expensive to drink or eat at, could not put bill onto hotel room tab. Could only sit at certain tables at the beach club, not on any loungers. Not enough bean bags at beach for guests. Not enough loungers at pools in main hotel..felt cramped at pools.
