We chose to stay at The Trawden Arms after learning of its history and the fact that it was community owned. The standards all round were excellent - friendly and professional staff, comfortable accommodation and delicious food - good value breakfasts and lovely evening meals. On the Saturday evening of our stay, there was a live band and the pub was buzzing. We were made to feel welcome and were ...
Our room was beautifully and tastefully decorated and furnished, fabulous shower. The only area that we felt could be improved was the main lighting. The vintage style bulbs meant that the light levels were very low and given our room was on the ground floor and near some outdoor seating, for privacy we needed to have the curtains closed most of the time we were in the room (perhaps a voile or ven...Read more
fantastic breakfast ,amazing room ,brilliant pub
Room was lovely. Food was really good. Staff very friendly and attentive.
A little bit noisy. There was a family community event being held in the village and pub, which was great, but we found it a little bit noisy for us at times.
A very warm friendly welcome. Great pub and good choice of proper pub food plus a chefs specials menu so we were spoilt for choice our room was gorgeous with elements of the history of the building being kept and cleverly used. Following a great night's sleep we enjoyed a very good breakfast
Nothing to dislike.
Everything - the room was perfect, clean, fresh, good size and separate from the pub itself with good sound proofing. There was a welcome tray, fridge and bathroom with bath and a powerful shower. We ate dinner and breakfast- there was a good selection on the menu for both and quality was great and portion sizes were generous. Everyone we met was friendly.

Breakfast was excellent our room was amazing far exceeded our expectations. It's situated in a picturesque area a bit of a challenge to get to but well worth it. Would definitely stay again. The back story of the community clubbing together to buy it to save it adds to the charm.
Perhaps checking in. We arrived on a Friday night after a very long journey. The pub was very busy and people were clamouring at the bar to order food and drinks. We had to wait with them. Perhaps a bell at the end of the bar for accommodation guests to ring when they arrive to alert the staff to the fact you are there could be considered.
Breakfast was great, pizza great, staff great, bed very comfortable and location great.
Friendly welcome. Spotlessly clean rooms Good food
The rooms were modern yet homely and the atmosphere of the pub was friendly and welcoming. The staff were all so lovely. The pub food was stunning and reasonably priced and the breakfast that was included with the room was exceptional.
