The service is out of this world. The whole staff makes all the effort to make you feel special in your stay. Thats what makes Tierra far ahead of its competitors in Atacama. The food was also a hot topic. Very elaborate dishes and so beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
The garden could be better kept. I know it is a desert and one of the driest in the world, but a five star hotel charging almost 2kusd a night must have it in better conditions. The hotel is wonderful and we stayed in the suite, which meant that we had the special perk of having private tours in a car at our discretion. Our guide Felipe was so knowledgeable, funny and attentive. The fact that the suites are all inclusive of transfers, trips, food and drinks is very relaxing.
The outdoor pools (in the suite and the common are one) were not heated so it was impossible to use them in winter. The food could be a notch better as well, it was average good.
Comfortable stay with daily menu variations using local food, great excursions in the Atacama desert and surrounding high plains with knowledgeable guides, good company, and super friendly and helpful staff.

Tierra is the best choice when you think about comfort, rustic luxury, food, excursions and staff. We had an excellent experience. It was one of our best trips so far.

Beautiful scenery and gorgeous decor in the lobby. The hotel arranges activities which were very enjoyable. they guides were great.
The food was hit and miss. I had some great meals and some not so great ones. The activities are very expensive.

The staff (including tour guides, drivers, waiters, receptionists and even the manager) were exceptionally helpful and nice. The all-inclusive experience felt like it was worth the price.
There were some ants in our room (not an infestation or anything like that).
