The hotel is well located in Chicago. It has had many personalities over the past 20 years I’ve been staying there. It has been comfortably renovated though the rooms are short on amenities.
Some really weird decor in the public rooms.
Great location and a very modern hotel. We stay here most years and you always know what you will get.
Wasn’t made aware of refurbishment when booking, only 1 lift so spent a lot of time waiting, didn’t get the room I booked.
Location is great, they are very pet friendly and they provide 2 complimentary drinks per day along with a restaurant credit. They also graciously upgraded us to a renovated room when the TV did not work in our original room.
The hotel is under extensive renovation/construction and the TV did not work in our room.
Convenient location, and good food.

overall experience was good, location was great for the marathon. Spacious room, especially the bathroom. proximity to Lake Michigan was wonderful
The breakfast situation was not ideal - the breakfast is served in the adjacent cafe, communication between reception and the cafe didnt seem to run smoothly. There was no breakfast service for the marathon early enough for the starters in the first corrals (cereal bars were apparently offered, but only as of 6/7ish AM).

location, pleasant staff, on site restaurant, small hotel fairly quiet
rooms and lobby need updating. stepping over a tub onto a slick shower floor is certainly not the norm these days. We were quite worried about our mom who was traveling with us.
