Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests loved the hotel's beautiful atmosphere, unique decor, and great location in downtown Detroit. The bed comfort and cleanliness were also highlighted positively. However, many reviews mentioned that the rooms were small and cold, with some guests expressing dissatisfaction with the service, particularly at the front desk. Overall, while the hotel has its charm, the room size and service issues detracted from the experience for some guests.

Cristina, Apr 2025
Pros (+) The room was very nice, cozy, and featured a modern design. It was cleaned daily. The reception staff was extremely friendly. The overall atmosphere was intimate, relaxing, and pleasant. I especially appreciated the access to the gym, which was the best gym experience I've had at a hotel so far.
Cons (-) You don't have a place to put your clothes; there's only a coat rack, but no shelf, wardrobe, or anything.

Pros (+) Great ambiance, coffee shop, and decor. Did not like not being able to control temp in my room, nor the low height bed. Also the building had plumbing issues. Loud noises emitted when turning off the sink.

Thomas, Apr 2025
Pros (+) The aestetic here is art-deco amazing. The theme carries into the rooms with thoughtful mini-bars containing pre-made cocktails and snacks with local companies. The coffee shop in the lobby serves Onyx - one of the best coffee roasters in the US and winners of many awards. (This may be the only place to get this coffee in Detroit). The front desk attendee is witty and seems to love his job. Both v...
Cons (-) I have no bads. The last time we stayed they were in transition from one of the in house restaurants, so it was closed - but it didn't really matter.

Pros (+) Charming boutique hotel in Downtown Detroit. Friendly staff. Cute decor and generally quite comfortable. Good lively bar for a night cap on the ground floor. Solid wifi connection.
Cons (-) No kettle, no complementary coffee/tea or water. No desk, so not ideal for people who might need to work in the room.

Kayla, Mar 2025
Pros (+) This Hotel was styled/decorated so well. Everything from the soap dispensers to the bed spread eloquently matched ‘The Siren’ theme. The room was unique and spacious. They even provided robes with the hotel name embroidered on it. Every aspect of the building was aesthetically pleasing and was great for photo ops.
Cons (-) There is not a mini fridge. Our room had an ‘old building’ smell, which was no issue for us and was easily forgotten about. It just stuck out to us when we first entered.
