the hotel was great for a family trip, kids club and splash pool was the highlight. Great breakfast and helpful staff. the rooftop restaurant was amazing place to be for enjoying the sunset
the location is a bit far from city center, without a car can be a bit complicated to get around.

The food in the Thai restaurant for dinner was below par. (Breakfast was ok). Either go Chinese (although also not so great) or outside.

2nd stay here and it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in by far. Service, facilities, rooms, pool….. everything. The location is a 5 min ride from the centre of town and located right on the river in a beautiful location. The waterpark is awesome.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. The facilities were excellent and all areas were spotless. The breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes and nationalities. Although we were a group of adults, I could see that they had excellent facilities for children . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I ever return to Chiang Rai .
I travel to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai several times per year with my girlfriend to visit her parents so I have stayed in almost every hotel in the area. The Riverie is a safe choice for anyone visiting the city because it ticks nearly all the boxes for an enjoyable stay. I have stayed here probably 10 times of the last 3 years living in Thailand and this hotel is consistently very good.
Why not excellent you may ask? Because on almost every occasion I have stayed here, I have always been disturbed by noise of some kind. The most common noise in this hotel is screaming children running around, banging from the room above or to the side but also there is always some form of industrial drilling or metallic banging in the area near the hotel. the hotel was set in a beautiful location on the river with mountain views and surrounded by beautiful gardens we loved it there and would not hesitate to stay there again. just
