Great food in the restaurant.
Incredibly poor service for a property which is competing with the likes of the Pig and charging similar prices. We waited for table service in the lounge for 20 minutes before dinner. We eventually went up to the bar ourselves and were met with a very rude response and treated as if we were in the way. Stunning grounds and interior. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Highlights were the outdoor heated infinity pool and the Japanese restaurant.
Only negatives were that the woman checking us in wasn’t very welcoming, felt as if we were inconveniencing here. And the indoor spa area was loud and crowded.
The property is located in a nice green area, it has good restaurants on site. It’s good that it has a SPA and an outdoor heated pool. The staff is really friendly and dogs are welcome!
General state of the room, and facilities were disappointing. The paint in our bedroom was chipped, there was dust on the bedside tables. In the toilet there was limescale paint on the shower head. It was not possible to control the room temperature. Sadly, we were in one of the room close to the trash bins and some generator as there was always a background noise. Beautiful property and rooms, perfect location, food was excellent (both restaurants and the breakfast), plenty to do for a couple of days with the spa and walks around the surrounding countryside. The staff were all great and attentive.
Quite a lot of the staff seemed to be brand new which led to a bit of confusion in the restaurant, but didn’t negatively impact our experience at all.
Reception staff not particularly welcoming or friendly, bar and restauarant staff (Tommy) wonderful. The room was lovely and very clean, but the hot tub in Spa was not very clean! Food was ok but our two rib eyed steaks were chewy - you need to get a better butcher - and in Wiltshire this should not be hard! Overall a lovely stay, this is one of our favourite places to escape!

The member of staff who checked us in was a little flustered and seems stressed out which wasn’t the best when being greeted after a very long drive
Facilities great
Understand glass restrictions around drinks in the spa and pool area but not allowing the wine bought during room service to be served in the pool area was quite dogmatic.
Felt very homely and cosy, great atmosphere.
Gym could do with a bigger weights area.
The service at reception and in the restaurant was very good.
Unfortunately with room being car-park side of hotel, was woken this time by very noisy bin lorry and emptying of bins between at 6-6.30am.
