Breakfast was ok Small portions, waitress was very nice but got orders mixed up
Bigger bathrooms
The hotel was in a great location for us because it was near Monsal trail and Chatsworth House. The breakfast was lovely. They were very accommodating when we left a car behind after our hotel stay and we collected it later.
I cannot think of anything.
Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and beautifully cooked We stayed for evening dinner which was excellent. The chef is obviously very good and the food was delicious.

dinner was very pricey for a roast beef - it was tasty but even so!
Car park next to the hotel is free for visitors. One spot for electric charging, an overnight charge is £25. Staff very helpful. Good sized room, very clean. Big comfy bed. Big smart tv, not logged into anything though, you need to log 8n on your own account to use Netflix etc. small box of chocolates was a nice touch. The staff, cuisine, decor, building architecture and beautiful grounds were all amazing and the property was so well kept.
Slightly small bathroom and shower screen but with an historical building it’s impossible to alter rooms as you would like.
Outstanding hotel and service!! The staff are very friendly and professional ( Katie and Rhiannon in particular) and every request was met without any fuss. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfast was delicious.
There is nothing to dislike and will be returning.

Noise from kitchen extractor which went on until I got out of bed and asked for it to be turned off. I suspect it had accidentally been left on. Extractor xame back on again at about 6:30 in morning. I suspect this is a perennial problem with this end of the building.
The decor was absolutely beautiful, such a pretty country house and felt so homely too. I love the interior design - would be great if the designer could do my house too!! Gardens were really lovely, extremely peaceful. The food was out of this world - best I’ve had in years, so impressed! Service was brilliant in all areas, professional but friendly. Made to feel so welcome, so definitely booking...

Excellent from start to finish. Wonderful service. A real home from home with every comfort. Food brilliant.
Only downside was steep staircase to lovely attic rooms, We'll definitely be back.
