My wife and I spent 6 nights at the Opposite House, and it was one of the best hotel experience we’ve ever had! Great rooms, great location, great breakfast, and best of all was the exceptional service provided by everyone who works there. Unfortunately, this hotel will close at the end of June. I am so pleased that we had the opportunity to stay there.
Very polite and professional hotel staff, big and comfortable room, at the heart of Sanlitun shopping district. The hotel is beautiful and it provide more than what we need in the room, free drinking water and beer more than we can consumed. It exceed my expectation than we i read from booking.com .
May be its 15 minutes minutes walk from MRT (Subway). But we are cool with it.
I liked the set up and design of the room. The fact everything in the mini bar was included, some wine would have been nice too for the non beer drinkers.
The music from the Union bar located in the lobby was too loud, I could hear it in my room when trying to sleep.
Grace during check in was an absolute gem with perfect english. The lobby looks good.
1. No water bidet/automatic w/c (For a 5 Star hotel???) 2. Too dark! Lighting in the lift, gym and pool were at about 10-15% only - ridiculous! 3. Extremely noisy rooms - and they allow children/random people to play with the lobby piano regardless of how loudly they may play it. 4. Check out staff (female) was very unfriendly. From the lobby manager to the room service, I feel the warmth everywhere, including the service in the restaurant, especially the breakfast department. The hygiene is superb. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the Peking duck. Overall a fantastic service.

Great modern interiors, next to shopping area
Could still hear traffic noise in room’s overlooking side street. Not near subway
Beautiful and spacious rooms, great service and central location. The bathtub is awesome, like a Japanese onsen. Will surely stay here again! Restaurants are just so so, the Italia food they serve doesn't really taste authentic, would expect better from SWIRE.
There was a construction across the small alley from my room, the construction workers were looking right into my living room from am to pm, but this has nothing to do with the peoperty itself.
