Owners and staff are kind and helpful. Welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is a treat. Location can't be beat; it is close to everything essential, including near Collage street & the cathedral, for fellow Janeits!
We stayed in the annexe. It is roomy and well planned, but if you're allergic you should be aware that at present there was mould in the bathroom.

Big comfortable room. Excellent breakfast in beautiful traditional restaurant. Right next to the cathedral. Parking the car was complicated (only few residents parking spots, pre-registration of plate necessary), but with great help from the staff.
Great location and lovely staff. Parking was free, and worked well for us. Breakfast was excellent (as was dinner the night before). The room was spacious and clean. In the evening, we watched Morris Dancers on the green outside, and chatted with them between dances. Much hilarity when a group of girls joined in a couple of dances.
Nothing really. This is an old building in the heart of a historic town, and that means some compromises - for example there are no lifts, and no off-street parking.
Everything was fabulous from the time we were greeted when we arrived to the time we had to depart. We were earlier than check out time so they looked after our luggage in a secure place until the room was ready and when we were given the key found our suitcase had already found its way to our very beautiful room which was exactly as pictured. Cold apartment
Great location (the cathedral is literally stone's throw away). Spacious room. Decent bed. All the basic amenities present. Real milk in the fridge :) Good breakfast. Wi-fi worked well.

What a lovely welcome! We were shown where the parking is and Bradley was lovely and took our bags to our room. We had a couple of dishes of the light bites and they were lovely. The room was lovely, crisp linen, fluffy towels, coffee machine (and tea stuff!), it was clean and well equipped. A very small niggle, the TV needs looking at as only 3/4 channels. In fairness when we are away it is only on for the news and not for long. Also in fairness we never mentioned it because I'm sure it would have been sorted if we had.Read more
