Outstanding place to stay, we had the cathedral room and it was outstanding, large comfortable bed and so much more. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We would have liked a later breakfast and check out, however I didn’t want to leave any time x
Beautiful building, exquisite grounds spacious well decorated bedroom very nice bathroom facilities
I didn’t realise when booking that there was not a restaurant available in the evening either it wasn’t clear on the website or I didn’t read it properly and so we were not prepared and had not booked somewhere nearby.
Superb tea and cake on the terrace with a view of the Cathedral.
Too much daylight in the bedroom in the morning
The atmosphere was great. Very relaxed and scenic
A bit of a maze to get to where your room is but that’s part of the character of the building.
We enjoyed the breakfast and the evening platter and soup. The tea and cake in the afternoon was a thoughtful and welcome bonus, as were the abundant magazines and newspapers. We thought the gardens were beautiful and the setting really lovely. We liked all the different seating areas and we couldn’t fault the bedroom and the bed was very comfortable.
A beautiful, historic building that has been modernised very tastefully. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The gardens and lakes are stunning, as is the view of the surrounding area - especially Ely cathedral in the distance. The staff were great too. Very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely visit here again.
Lovely building, decor and location , delicious breakfast.
I was not aware that they did not provide restaurant meals on a Monday. We had soup and a cheese platter which was very nice. Look direct on the hotels own website for a calendar which shows when the restaurant is open
