The house has a great historical feel and the room was surprisingly large and up to date with amenities. I absolutely loved the lighting and it's character.
I liked every part.
The breakfast was good and the area was clean. Daily newspaper availability. Beautiful wraparound porch for enjoying the grounds. Guest refrigerators for food item storage.
Limited parking and required to park a block away. Internet is limited if in a room in the annex.
Pretty building in a very nice location
I have a room faced a backyard alley and we had to keep the shades down as the windows to other rooms were very close.
Breakfast was great. Porch was very big to find you own space. Easy walk to main street of Spring lake - ocean was a block away. Entire staff were all friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy. Shower rocked.
Weather. Hurricane Helene put a damper on the weekend.
Location : very close to the beach
Breakfast was always delicious.
Having to leave.
Close to beach
Very small room that needs updating.
Ocean House is an actual B&B experience. The breakfast was terrific. There was always water, coffee, Iced Tea, and Iced coffee on hand. The setting was quaint and clean. The wrap-around porch was perfect for relaxing and breathing in sea air. The walk to the beach was 2 minutes. Our room even had a view of the Ocean.
The porch was lovely for breakfast. Our bags were brought up to our room and taken down for us at checkout. Emma was wonderful.
We are in our late 60’s and the steps were painful. We had to walk up and down the 36 steps six times a day. Breakfast was chintzy. No frig in the room. Parking was horrible, once again we had to walk 2-3 long blocks after dinner to get to the B&B. More hangers in the cupboard. The manager had a dismissive attitude to our concerns.
The breakfast staff is so kind, friendly. Wonderful team.
This is hardly important but maybe less NYT copies and more WSJ?
