Pros (+) Fantastic spot, history and central location. Beautiful lounge area was very inviting and relaxing also well catered for a nice cup of tea or coffee. We enjoyed the history of the university and the uniqueness of the stay. Very clean and quiet.
Cons (-) Bed was very soft and sloped down on one side.

Pros (+) This is a beautiful property, well finished with extremely helpful staff. We arrived here whilst a storm was hitting Christchurch and this property lifted our moods and relaxed us. It might be more expensive than the average hotel in Christchurch but is more than worth the extra cost.
Cons (-) The only thing I didn’t like about the property is we only stayed for one night, I wish it was for a lot longer.

Pros (+) Proximity to cafes, restaurants, and CBD. Liked the fact that it was part of the old university site and impressed with the restoration work after the earthquake. Took the site tour which included access to the observatory tower and clock tower.
