This place- the staff, the food, the ambiance, the activities- are EXCEPTIONAL. We splurged to stay here after staying at mostly hostels/hotels/home stays, but it was worth it! We slept so well- the beds are divine, the tents and sounds of the river are beautiful. The breakfast spread is so delicious!

Door of the villa couldn’t be locked for the first day, cleaning was not top notch, airco failure in the upper room and issues with the toilet
We stayed at this retreat to celebrate a birthday and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The property is well-maintained, with a nice pool, friendly staff, and well-presented food. This small luxury hotel is incredible. Not only is the setting picturesque, but the staff are super friendly, know your name and would do anything to make your stay memorable. Great concept. A fantastic, secluded spot a little out of the town. The restaurant and bar were great. The rooms were ok. They seemed a little cramped together and lacked some privacy and considering the size of the plot this seemed a little odd. Our room had no where to sit outside which was a shame. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
Incredible hospitality from Carl and his team of beautiful humans. The small touches went a long way, turn down service, the little gifts left each night on my bed, how they top up your water frequently at the pool. The Namkham Hotel is a super quiet and relaxing oasis along a river with a nice view and beautifully decorated houses. Well managed resort, where employees at the reception, pool or restaurant seem to know you by name. Not sure how they do this, because we don't carry badges or post our photo somewhere. Very spacious accommodation with view on river and romantic and comfortable sleeping in tent with airco. Cosy warm LED lighting at night. As can be expected from a remote location the prices are relatively high ($65 for dinner), especially since they add additional charges for tax (10%), service(10%), credit card (3%), and an optional tip. We were invited for a happy hour with one free drink for every one ordered but noted that both drinks were charged. Room was great (stayed in the art deluxe) and the resort is very pretty, many things to do, really liked being able to cycle into Luang Prabang. For at restaurant was fine
Two things: the breakfast was really not good enough for the price. No buffet, you had to order and each time disappointing: first time I ordered a feu (traditional Lao soup), except it was not a feu: wrong noodles (vermicelli instead of the normal flat rice noodles), broth tasteless.
