Everything was incredible. Room was large. Staff was incredible. Everyone was so warm, friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. The Irish Coffee was an experience worth our stay. Such a professional environment - and the facilities were over the top beautiful.
Everything was above and beyond expectation. Nothing I did not like about this hotel. I would stay here again!

Everything!!! we have been staying here for the past 5 years for occasions such as Christmas or Birthdays,, it has always be exceptional, from arriving to departure the staff are outstanding, and we will be looking forward to are next stay,, top class hotel

Check in was quick and easy, all staff were helpful and friendly, surroundings are luxurious and relaxing, breakfast was fab.
A fridge in the room would have been good to chill water and keep fresh milk fresh. Our room was quite noisy because of local bars so it took me a while to get to sleep.
The food at The Merchant was excellent and we ate at almost every dining option that they had. The service was swift and they anticipated our needs very well which is a sign of great waiting staff. Reception were very helpful with any queries I had and had fulfilled my request for twin rooms which was great as my two grown up sons were rooming together for one night.
The rooms that we were in are not well soundproofed and there are a number of pubs and clubs opposite the hotel. Normally it wouldn't have made a huge amount of difference and I'd have been less annoyed about the noise factor but it was my son's wedding the day we left the hotel and it was really difficult to go to sleep with the noise of music coming from the pubs/clubs.

Room was full and looked old and tired in style. It was Victorian style but I felt it could have had more of a feel of splendour and Victorian elegance. Was disappointed in how dingy it looked and felt.
The staff at the merchant went above and beyond to make my mother and daughter’s birthday feel special. They were extremely kind and accommodating. Customer service at the merchant is on par with the stunning interior.
