The location is the best location in soho.
The hotel is very old. The room is very old. The bathroom is very old, everything is falling a little bit apart, it’s not worth the price, for that money you can stay great hotels in New York City, I think you need a very substantial upgrade to the hotel facilities.
Breakfasts were excellent and in an enjoyable setting.
The room was rather sparse for the price. The bathroom was very nice, but the rest of the space was small and the furnishings were not that great.

I love staying at The Mercer whenever I’m in New York. Location, super staff, perfect rooms, extra perfect baths, relaxing lounge. Some afternoons I don’t even go out!
Easier access to porterage out of regular hours would be nice.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Mercer. The staff are definitely the highlight (shout out to Joshua) in how friendly and helpful they are. It’s nice that the lobby is just for guests. The room was spacious and they welcomed me with a cookie from Laduree! You can also book a small gym room to work out in, or go to the partner gym if you want something more elaborate. Location is excellent too.

Everything. The attention to detail was exceptional & the team displayed outstanding customer service. The best example of this was on arrival by taxi, my card was rejected for payment & I didn't have sufficient cash. Doorman Jacob suddenly appeared & paid with his own money to settle the fair. Just incredible!
