Breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable
The design and decoration was lovely. Staff were very nice.
Wasn’t clean. Dried hair from the previous stay on the shower wall and dirty mugs. I sent an email (with images) to the hotel to inform them and they just ignored me.
We had booked the Oak Room some months in advance. When we got there, we found they had given it to someone else. We were given a less good room. They promised us a refund of £50. But when we came to pay the bills we found they had failed to account for the amount we had paid through Booking.com. Pristine, possibly newly built pub. Tastefully decorated with top quality bedding and furnishings.
I’m really looking for something here…..there was no screen on the shower but as it was a disabled room, it had to be this way.
Superb stay at the Lime Tree Inn. Friendly, accommodating staff, clean, well presented rooms and a top notch chef in the kitchen. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. I can’t fault my experience.

The evening dining experience was excellent, as was breakfast. Top quality food, perfectly & expertly prepared by the chef by engaging staff. The only reason for not scoring top marks is the welcome / checking in was rather cool with the owners not involved in the process. Bathroom towel rail had not been put on ready for arrival. Bathroom was freezing. We were expecting a good meal in the restaurant after studying their "sample" menus. Only to get Pub grub of not such a good quality. They said they usually are closed in January but decided to open with a very different menu, there was nothing mentioned regarding this on Booking .com Would not have booked this place...Read more

The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable, clean and up-to-date. The renovations apparently took place in 2020 but everything felt new. Room and ensuite were spacious, well appointed and with high quality linen. The hotel is also an inn and it was moderately busy in the evening while we stayed there, but we were not disturbed at all by any sounds from the bar/restaurant. Car park is spacious...
A small niggle was that the broadband connection in the room wasn't fast enough to stream programmes on the internet TV without occasional delays. But it’s a small niggle - in all important aspects the hotel was excellent.Read more
