Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests generally praised the hotel for its excellent location, which was conveniently situated near downtown and close to various amenities, bars, and restaurants. However, many reviews highlighted significant issues, such as poor service and uncomfortable bedding, with guests expressing dissatisfaction particularly with the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms and bathrooms. The quality of room service and restaurant offerings was also critiqued as being pricey with limited options. Noise from the street and the lack of hot water during a winter stay was particularly noted as an unpleasant experience.

Nice boutique hotel, well located, the highlight is the pool which is set amongst the trees and has a lovely natural feel. Only downside is the constant loud music!

This hotel is in great walking distance to lots of amenities, however it is overpriced, outdated, and underwhelming. You can hear the traffic from the rooms facing the street, the music from the outside vendors, and the property charges a daily amenity fee for amenities that was bland and unavailable.

Swanky re-do of a cool mid 60s building. Great food choices. Friendly, helpful staff from valet to front desk.

Pros (+) The location was perfect along the Greenbelt Trail. Easy to take your pen out for relief. I do have an older dog, so the stairs were a little much for him, but for a dog without mobility issues, it’s no problem.
Cons (-) The beds were very low, it was fine for us, but elderly people I think would have a problem getting up from the bed.

Pros (+) I really love this hotel. It has a young, hip vibe, and is in a great location close to the Austin Convention Center, and lots of shops and restaurants. I especially love the Veracruz restaurant on the ground level - get their breakfast tacos on corn and berry smooth smoothie! The rooms are spacious with gorgeous floor to ceiling windows. I have stayed here before and always had an excellent stay....
Cons (-) I didn't have hot water in my shower. Despite speaking to Guest Services about this twice over my 4-day stay, the water problem was not solved, I was not offered another room, nor was I offered any future incentives to stay here. For the price per night at this hotel, this was a disappointing experience. The explanation I got was "this is an old building." Taking a cold shower in the winter is not...
