room to backyard might be better than to the street
Beautiful property, staff very friendly , nicely appointed.
Small room for price, no place to sit (other than stools), bathroom very small and jammed up. Shower dripped throughout night.
The level of service was superb. Every detail seemed perfectly planned by the wonderful staff.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. we LOVED the bar. Tiny, relaxing, comfortable and the bartender make several great cocktails. I could easily see going there just for a drink before dinner if I lived in the area. Looking forward to returning.

We love the location and beautiful design renovation of this Inn. The designers put much thought into renovating this wonderful historic Inn. The complimentary breakfast with the best yogurt ever! The whole design is beautiful and nearly perfect.
Room 32 is lovely. However, it was missing a 'night table' on the right side of the bed, which was not accommodating for essentials. It appears the sister's nightstand on wheels was moved into the bathroom on the right side of the sink. I had to find something to place under the left front wheel to keep level in the bathroom.
Nice continental breakfast (free) with option to purchase an excellent quality hot breakfast. Food outstanding (restaurant as well). Staff were incredibly kind and personal.
The only thing to complain about sounds small but makes a difference if you stay there for a week — the soap and shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower dispense so very little product with each pump. So you have to pump each at least 10 times and since there’s fair resistance, it actually starts to cause shoulder strain!!! Beautiful room, lovely breakfast and super friendly staff . Pity we only had one night here and didn’t get to try the cuisine.(although my partner did try the famous chowder )
It was really a lovely place, couldn’t fault anything
Beautiful decor, good restaurant, tasty tea at breakfast (tea was a special highlight), very comfortable bed, many nice small touches, walking distance to town
No amenities (small grounds, no pool, etc), high price for no amenities; breakfast is half-included which is strange
