Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests appreciated the great service and aesthetic appeal of the hotel, but many expressed concerns about cleanliness and the surrounding area, particularly the presence of homeless individuals. The location, while close to attractions, was often described as uncomfortable due to the neighborhood's issues. Overall, while the hotel had its charm, guests felt it was overpriced given the circumstances.

Wonderful
Kirsten, May 2025
Pros (+) Great location for everything I wanted to see and do. Lovely boutique feel to the hotel, friendly staff, clean & comfortable room with giod amenities, and the rooftop bar & restaurant was a real bonus!
Cons (-) My room was a little dark due to the close proximity of a neighbouring building.

Pros (+) Nice friendly staff, beautiful setting
Cons (-) No parking at the hotel but we did find a lot close by for $24 for 24 hours. The hotel does have Valet for $60

Pros (+) The property was gorgeous! I loved the decor and the amenities. There were beautiful vintage furnishings, but with modern high end efficiency.
Cons (-) I felt extremely safe at the hotel and in my room. However, through no fault of the hotel, the neighborhood felt less appealing. Traveling alone, I’d hoped to enjoy the roof top restaurant’s menu for room service. I was told they were too busy. I had to grub hub instead, so disappointed!

Pros (+) Interior of hotel looks very nice.
Cons (-) People in lobby that worked at the hotel, did not greet anyone walking in, yet were staring. Did not make me feel very welcome. Lady behind the check in desk, was wearing a pyjama and big furry animal slippers. In my opinion not very professional for a hotel that cost over $200 a night. Shower drain looked dirty and rusty.

Pros (+) The area of town is not the best place to be period. The hotel itself is a gem within the din. Blocks away from the train station makes it a perfect stop over. Small Mom and pops breakfast restaurants line the main street back to the train station. A tad bit pricey for the area of town but well within for what it offers you. I did not participate with its offerings but with 3 eateries and a speak ...
Cons (-) The only drawback to this hotel is its location in the current state of Portland Oregon. Otherwise, you are in "Old Town" Portland with all its history and grandeur.
