Nice to stay here for a few nights at the start of our trip, cool to see an old building like this. Probably don't need more than a few nights here though and would recommend doing the National Palace Museum, Beitou, or anything on the northern section of the red MRT line whilst you are there. Even though the location is not convenient but the hotel provide shuttle bus service to Yuan Shan train station. The building that we stay can see the 101 view from our room. And it have convenient store open till 11pm. The hotel also provide drink dispenser and ice cube machine. Overall it will be great experience to stay at this unique hotel.

Nice hotel with a grand lobby. Staff and service both good. We stayed in an older wing with split levels. Concierge helped us haul our luggage down to our room on the lower level. Kind of odd…wonder why they would not replace the stairs with a ramp! On the pro side, very good view of the city with Taipei 101 on the horizon. The good: 1. The staff are very attentive and friendly. 2. The gym has free weights and an assortment of machines. Towels are provided, but I didn't see any sanitation wipes.
