The location is so nice, by the river and is not a busy location so we can really experienced the feel of Japanese locality.
This time we booked the wrong room. Its too small, unlike our last stay we booked a bigger room overlooking the river
The staff was wonderful this was my second time choosing to stay here. They even had a little bday something for me. Really helpful and kind staff that make the difference. The place is just around the corner from a station.

This was my second stay at The Gate Hotel Ryogoku by Hulic and I am confident - not the last one. I like its location, staff, the level of comfort and cleanliness.
The area is very close to alot of restaurant and good places.

Lovely staff. Clean, modern, very comfortable beds, well laid out rooms. Good breakfast.
Bit far from shops etc
The location is beautiful with views of the Sumida river and Ryogoku center. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Ryogoku station which was so convenient. The hotel has a very luxurious vibe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was a great size given the average room sizes in Japan.
Very strong fragrance smell on the first floor. My boyfriend liked it but I’m more sensitive to smells but luckily it was only on the first floor where only the elevators are.
Convenient location, spacious room with well-appointed bathroom.
Rooms can be susceptible to outside noise from the elevated roadway.
