Location and staff
Where do I start?? Our room was medium sized but very basic in facilities. There was one bedside locker. The guest on the other side of the bed had nowhere to leave a phone or a glass of water.There were six clothes hangers in a tiny closet which also housed an ironing board and a safe. Beautiful property with a rich history and fabulous amenities. Great location, loved the 15 minute walk in and out of town. Staff were also extremely helpful in providing assistance in seeking medical attention for my grandmother.
The property is sprawling, so finding where you need to be is a little tricky. Better signage would help alleviate this problem.

Chop House restaurant-great waiter but $22 for minuscule “glass” of wine is ridiculous and hard sell with champagne trolley
Dated hotel, rooms and bathrooms
The view was amazing, staff were exceptionally helpful and the golf course was the best
Bathroom was very small
Decor and service from the hotel. Fantastic! The room with a view is impeccable and highly recommend and the Vermillion Room, fabulous place to eat. Danny our service, absolute joy to be around!
The elevators to get to each floor is troublesome, I would of happily taken the stairs if there was some, even asked a member of staff and they couldn’t help me.

Huge hotel, beautiful views, amazing staff super friendly.
I really wanted to like this hotel more but there were a few short falls that I think need to be addressed. Firstly, my room was paid for as a deluxe king room, the pillow sheets were a little rough, there was no water or even a paid mini bar in the room and for a hotel like this, I think that is pretty bad and certainly for the price I paid for 3 nights. Lovely views and room size
Bathroom was the smallest we have ever encountered- very poor for the cost of the accommodation. Rooms were very noisy - staff and other residents- terrible!
