Pros (+) Location of the hotel was excellent. Very central. Staff were very friendly. Room was spotless. Everything was catered for in the room
Cons (-) Could have been a better selection at breakfast. Air con wasn’t working one evening. The lobby area is absolutely beautiful. Should be used as a bar area as it is a wasted space as it is now

Pros (+) Location central, just off the hyper-touristy neighbourhood but about five-ten minute walk to most key attractions in all directions. Rooms small but nicely decorated and well equipped. Excellent shower and very comfortable bed. Lovely to get a little complementary bottle of port on leaving. Most staff members friendly.
Cons (-) Breakfast was standard - expected something a little special for a 5-star hotel. No vegan options (fruit?) and few vegetarian choices. Great coffee though! Staff were approachable and friendly overall, but tended to stay in the background, especially noted during the big power outage. Pros (+) The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff on the check in desks were all extremely helpful, giving advice and places to eat and using the map etc. Our room was very pleasant and very quiet. We slept well.
Cons (-) The pool area needed some attention. We are aware that it was early in the season but the whole area was a little untidy and dirty. It would also be useful to know where to get towels from as this was not obvious. We had to ask the staff in the bar.
